The article is devoted to the scientific aspects of the development of the organic products market. The main trends in the global organic food market are an increase in consumption volumes, an increase in the scale of world trade both in kind and in value terms. Currently, Russia has all the necessary resources and conditions for the development of organic production and export expansion. Goal. Analysis of the organic products market, identification of the main trends in market development and justification of state policy measures in the field of organic production. Methodology. Methods of logical and comparative analysis of the organic products market. Results and conclusions. Organic agriculture requires a special approach from the standpoint of further development, and the realization of its export opportunities is the task of the near future. In this regard, further research and detailing of the areas of state support is required, including the transition period of organic production, the duration of which can reach three years. In order to substantiate the concept of the development of organic exports, it is necessary to take into account regional opportunities. An important incentive for the development of production is precisely the state subsidization of organic producers.
