The science as a mobilization resource: the activity of "V. L. Komarov's commission" in Western Siberia in 1942–1943

In this paper, the author analyzes the mechanism of creation, forms and results of the activities of the Extraordinary Commission of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR to mobilize the resources of the Urals, Western Siberia and Kazakhstan for needs of national defense in terms of providing more effective work of the industry and transport of the Western Siberia in wartime conditions.
