The article deals with the linguistic means of edification as the mechanism of language verbalization of the experiential knowledge. The phenomenon of edification is described as a communicative-pragmatic category that is formed in the process of language interaction for the purpose of representation and transfer of experience in terms of a speech activity. It is characterized by the specific set of linguistic means as well. The notion of experience as an existential essence, the ways of its comprehension by a person in the course of his ontological achievements presentation, his social role in the human society are considered in the paper.
