“I don’t know what boredom is”: by the 180th anniversary of P. F. Lesgaft’s birthday

P. F. Lesgaft was one of the brightest representatives of advanced pedagogical thought, the outstanding Russian scientist-biologist, who enriched pedagogical theory with the ideas, the basis of which was the study of physiological patterns of human development. He was the author of major works on the history and theory of physical education of schoolchildren; the organizer of the mass teaching movement for the introduction of physical education in schools and institutions. He occupies a special place among the outstanding figures of Russian education at the second half of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century.
