Unfair use of patent rights: from theory to practice of fighting patent trolls

This article discusses the current problem of unfair use of patent rights, which is expressed in the actions of "patent trolls". The work analyzes this phenomenon in Russian law enforcement practice. In conclusion, measures to counter patent trolling for companies to protect themselves from patent lawsuits are formulated, and possible legislative initiatives aimed at minimizing abuse in this area are considered, which allows us to move from theoretical understanding of the problem to practical solutions.
