The article delves into the analysis of informal mechanisms of the Russian Federation’s political influence in the Republic of Armenia in the context of the transformation of bilateral relations after 2020. Particular attention is given to identifying the key actors, including parallel elites, quasistate structures, civic organizations, and the media, as well as the main channels of influence – informational, symbolic, and personal. The study demonstrates how these mechanisms have adapted amid the ongoing weakening of formal and institutional ties between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia. It substantiates the resilience and stability of informal channels despite Yerevan’s declared distancing from Moscow in recent years. Methodologically, the research relies on network and institutional analysis, media and Telegram content analysis, and a comprehensive examination of both official and unofficial sources.
