Informal Relations in the Local Government of the Russian State in the Second Half of the 17th Century

The article analyzes the correspondence of stolnik A.I. Bezobrazov, which allows revealing new aspects of the history of local government in the second half of the 17th century in the context of patron-client relations. Having an extensive network of clientele, A.I. Bezobrazov became an addressee of requests from the clerks of various counties. The author makes the conclusion about the integration of informal ties into the system of public administration.
