Morbid obesity is defined as a body mass index (BMI) ≥ 40 kg/m² or BMI ≥ 35 kg/m² in combination with severe obesity-related complications. This condition is associated with an extremely high risk of developing comorbidities. According to global statistics, the prevalence of morbid obesity ranges from 4% to 8%. Presents a clinical case of kidney involvement in a patient with morbid obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
