Problems of the publication of unreliable information about sale of objects of real estate and negative influence of this phenomenon on quality of an assessment of assets

The author considers the problem due to the fact of publication of false information about the sale of real estate in the media in Russia’s lack of a unified system of verification of declarations as to their authenticity. Describes the negative impact of this phenomenon on the work of assessors. Compares appraisers work in our country and abroad. Considers it possible solution to conduct joint cross-sectoral activities involving all participants in the real estate market and the development of appropriate legislative initiatives.
