Neuroethics as the ethics in neuroscience

The article identifies two approaches to the definition of subject field of neuroethics as ethics of cultural neuroscience. Firstly, neuroethics is understood as the ethics of neuroscience and the part of bioethics knowledge. It is emphasized that bioethics today is not just an area of interdisciplinary research that emerged at the intersection of medicine, experimental research of human and ethics, but also a social institution of ethics committees. The paper examines some actual problems of neuroethics through the prism of the principles of bioethics such as "do no harm", "do good", respect for patient autonomy, as well as the rules of justice and veracity, confidentiality and informed consent. The article designates the moral dilemmas in the sphere of application of modern neuroscience achievements: ways of "cognitive improvement", social policy of providing access to new resources, new techniques to predict some aspects of the behavior and aptitudes of the individual...
