Some aspects of diagnostics and treatment of radiculopathies in patients with degenerative-and-dystrophic changes in cervical spine

The object of the study consists in working-out the details of diagnostics and differentiated treatment of the neurological symptoms, caused by degenerative involvement of cervical spine. Complex examination and treatment of 91 patients with the clinical picture of radiculopathy through posttraumatic and degenerative-and-dystrophic changes of the spine are taken as a basis of the present work. The causes, character and structure of radiculopathies are studied. The indications and contraindications for different treatments are determined. The possibility of electrostimulation use in complex treatment of radiculopathies for the spine degenerative involvement. The study made shows high effectiveness and significance of the direct electrostimulation of spinal cord neuronal structures in complex treatment of radiculopathy irrespective of the causes of its development. Electrostimulation of the posterior columns of the spinal cord can be considered as an independent sound method for radiculopathy treatment.
