The main purpose of the forensic handwriting examination is narrowing of the range of conditions to be tested by the expert research, and setting of certain tasks. The handwriting samples must be reliable, conforming to the document under the examination. It is necessary to consider the sufficiency of the number of samples. The expert of the forensic handwriting examination must be provided with tasks in the form of questions. The questions should be clear and not cumbersome, so that the expert has no need to ask for clarification. If for the trial contents the establishment of only a single reason is essential, the question should denote exactly that reason. Given that not all the conditions, which are required to be examined, are reproducible, the expert is provided with the samples taken in different conditions, as close by their examination features as possible. The expert is also to be provided with information from the case related to the alleged author of the manuscript. The autobiographical data, medical records, eyewitness' evidences and a testimony of a suspect can also be provided. By doing so one shouldn't beware of intrusion of own opinion upon the expert, since the expert makes an expertise proceeding from the empirical evidence only.
