Some aspects of portrait painting in Arcady Plastova's creativity

Using a comparative method of inquiry it is possible to find special features in sence of rhythm, composition and colour decisions between early portrait painting of Plastov and that of 1930-40-th. It seems very important to Plastov to use difficult composition of portraits, dynamic foreshortening, detailed elaboration of background for well comprehension of a real life. Simplecity and unaffectedness are very important in Plastov's portraits. Unsophisticated conception erokes the sence of sincerity. Such brank expression became one of the most important directions in Plastov's art for the next decades. Straightness, naturalness and so called emotional impressionism are typical for the most canvases of Plastov. They provide a special charm to onlooker. And the spectator trust the author.
