Russia-Japan cooperation in managing global problems and security issues in Asia-Pacific region

The article considers the cooperation between Russia and Japan in solving global problems and the role of two countries in establishing the peace and stability in the Asian-Pacific region. The author states that Russia-Japan relations go much further than just working out of bilateral problems and play a great role in managing worldwide conflicts and issues, even though there remains some tension between Moscow and Tokyo and the geopolitical crisis has not been still overcome. The author presents Russia-Japan cooperation as a logical outcome of diplomatic relations in regards with nuclear safety issues - both denuclearization and peaceful application, anti-terrorist movements and regional peacekeeping via negotiations as a main instrument to break through the consequences of territorial disputes in Asian-Pacific region.
