An analysis of the current legislation of the Russian Federation, which provides for criminal liability of officials for entering knowingly false information in the unified state registers, as well as the current judicial and investigative practice for this type of crime, has been conducted. Possible options for improving the criminal law provisions designed to protect unified state registries from criminal attacks by officials are shown.
