Problems connected with implementation of the adversarial principle in the trial are considered. The obligatoriness of defendant and professional defence lawyer as participants of the proceeding is proved. The author backs up re-involving of public representatives (civic attorneys and prosecutors) in criminal procedure, extending the framework of judicial activity
