Some controversial issues of observance of rights of child victims at the pre-trial stage and possible ways to resolve them

Some problematic issues arising in practice of ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of child victims in pre-trial proceedings and the role of such officials as a prosecutor, an investigator and an inquiry officer in increasing the level of protection of the rights of child victims in criminal proceedings are considered in the article. Existing gaps in the legislation are also analyzed and proposals are made to increase the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of a child victim.
