Some supplementary data on soil and plant cover of the Volga river delta dynamics

The results of 17-year's observation of the fixed transect in the Volga river delta are presented. Over the observation period the Volga river water discharge has increased, which lead to a considerable change of water soluble salt composition in soil. A decrease of the most toxic plant ions content (НСО3, Na+, Сl-) in soil solution was detected. The changes of hydrological regime and soil solution composition have resulted in modification of the vegetation cover.
