Some factors of wear reduction in internal combustion reciprocating engines

The development of the agro-industrial complex of Russia to a qualitatively new level involves the application of the results of scientific and technological progress in the field of agricultural science. Reciprocating internal combustion engines are a key source of energy in the production processes in the countryside. Innovative scientific developments largely contribute to increasing the resource of internal combustion engines. The research has been carried out by the method of review and analysis of literary sources. Analytical methods for considering the processes under study were also used. It is revealed that the functioning of the power unit in its interfaces generates an electric current, the value of which correlates with the properties of the rubbing materials, as well as the temperature in the interface. The paper presents studies of the factors for reducing the wear of piston internal combustion engines, as the main source of energy for automotive and tractor equipment. Based on the results obtained, promising areas of scientific research are determined.
