Some facts from biography of the avant-garde artist D. Burlyuk (case study of materials of the Russian state archive of literature and art)

The article is a biographical study of unknown facts from the biography of a leader of the Russian avantgarde David Burlyuk. As the main source the author studies a notebook with personal records made by Burlyuk during the years 1898-1900, which is held in the Russian State Archive of Literature and Arts in Moscow. Basing upon the research of the records the author retraces a process of development of the artist’s world outlook, and specifies some dates referring the period when Burlyuk studied in gymnasiums and art schools.
