The study focuses on up-to-date data relating to terminology used in the case of connective cardiac tissue dysplasia. Also described are structures of a «dysplastic» heart and possibilities of surgical treatment of certain forms of connective cardiac tissue dysplasia: progressive myxomatosis degeneration of mitral cusps with hemodynamically significant mitral regurgitation, detachment of cords, aneurysm of the ascending aorta with aortal insufficiency, heart myxoma, myocardial «bridges». Some features of the follow-up of children who underwent surgery on connective cardiac tissue dyspalsia are discussed.
