Some Ideas of the Scientific School of O.V. Inshakov: Heritage and Development

The article was prepared on the eve of the 45 th anniversary of Volgograd State University. The authors reveal from a new perspective the scientific heritage of Doctor of Sciences (Economics), Professor Oleg Inshakov – an outstanding scientist-economist who made a significant contribution to the development of economic theory and regional economics in many areas of research and who created a scientific economic school at Volgograd State University, the developments of whose representatives received recognition and found practical application not only in the Volgograd Region but in other regions of the South of Russia. The article highlights the main areas of research activities that were carried out during the very difficult years of paradigm shift in the development of the entire Russian economy and the economy of the Volgograd region. The authors highlight the main scientific achievements of O. Inshakov and show how some of them were developed in the research of his students, who, integrating his views into the topics of their research, create their own scientific models that help solve a significant set of problems that arose both during the period of O. Inshakov’s creative scientific activity and at present. The article emphasizes the adaptability of O. Inshakov’s scientific discoveries for solving modern problems and those issues that will undoubtedly arise in the future. The article examines O. Inshakov’s activities aimed at developing the science of the future. The topics of research and his views need to be developed and will undoubtedly be of great benefit to domestic science.
