Some results of the monitoring of scribbles on the Smolensk rocks (Trans-Baikal territory)

This paper examines an archaeological site represented by rock art. The monument is located in the Smolensk Rocks tract. The Bronze Age (1 thousand BC) preliminarily determines the age of the ancient drawings. A comparative characteristic of the writings of the Smolensk rocks with the monuments of neighboring territories is carried out. The importance of this object is due to its proximity to the capital of the Trans-Baikal Territory, which makes it attractive for tourism. Therefore, the issue of the preservation of the drawings is of particular relevance, despite the fact that at present the monument is not under immediate threat. The uniqueness of the drawings themselves is noted, in particular the image of a maral, since images of reindeer on rocks in the taiga zone of Transbaikalia are quite rare.
