Some features of the foster family agreement

The Russian Federation is characterized by the phenomenon of social orphanhood, when almost ninety percent of children brought up in foster families and organizations for orphans have parents alive. Family law provides for several types of family arrangements for children without parental care. Of all the existing forms of placement of children, the author in this article analyzes the concept, content and some features of the foster family agreement. It touches on the problem of lack of consensus among scientists regarding the legal nature of the foster family agreement and comes to the conclusion about the family legal nature, arguing its position.
