Some features of officers’ physical training for special units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the conditions of highlands

The article defines the specific features of officers’ training for special police units acting in the conditions of highlands. The need for intense physical training of such officers is determined by the dangers in the mountains (stone landslide, avalanches), specific weather conditions, difficult and hazardous terrain. The officers should be sufficiently robust to endure adverse environmental factors of the highlands. The author emphasizes the need for training both before departure to the mountains and directly in the highlands to develop the endurance.
