Some approaches to the bibliometric analysis of the composition of the editorial boards of Russian journals in the field of archeology and ethnography

For the leading Russian archaeological and ethnographic scientific journals, the composition of the editorial boards, the degree of their participation in activities and the principles of assessing the quality of work are analyzed. Such an analysis of the lists of members of editorial boards and their scientific activities in recent years has attracted more and more attention both from specialists in the field of scientometrics and from participants in the publishing process. The article deals with general and applied issues of using scientometric methods of analysis of members of editorial boards and editorial boards. The application of such an analysis is made for the first time in archaeological and ethnographic science.
