Бесплатный доступ

In the course of the scientific research, a comprehensive analysis of the international legal framework defining the legal status of the Antarctic continent was carried out, including historical aspects of the formation and evolution of relevant legal norms. The long-term and consistent interest of the world community in the Antarctic region has served as a catalyst for the development of international cooperation in the field of its research and development. Over the past decades, there has been a significant transformation in the nature of this interest: if individual territorial claims of individual states initially prevailed, then the modern stage is characterized by a desire for collective interaction for the benefit of all mankind, and this interaction is becoming more and more specialized. The researchers conducted a detailed study of the specifics of the current international legal regime in Antarctica, comparing the conceptual provisions with their practical implementation in modern conditions.
