Some problems of analyzing the causes of death in the population

The article reviews the theory of epidemiological transition and other theories that explain the processes of population reproduction in Russia in the modern period. Special attention is paid to the problems of population mortality. The article presents statistical forecasts (extrapolations) of indicators of epidemic mortality of the population and calculations of its possible impact on the overall indicators for 2020.
