This article identifies some problems in the formation of the competence of future teachers. The difficulties that students face when trying to develop their professional competencies, such as lack of time, limited access to the necessary resources, lack of experience, etc., are considered. The formation of professional competencies among students at pedagogical universities, future teachers, is the most important area of activity of pedagogical universities. They will be equipped with the necessary skills to become effective teachers in the future. To overcome the problems faced by students in the formation of professional competencies, it is important to use some strategies, such as self-study, practice, mentoring, participation in professional organizations and others. As a result of the study, the authors came to the conclusion that the formation of professional competencies is an important aspect of student learning. To be successful in this process, it is necessary to use approaches and strategies that are tailored to the individual needs and goals of the students. This article may be useful for pedagogical universities, teachers and students who are interested in improving their professional competencies. The results of the study can help students and teachers to better understand the process of developing professional competencies and identify effective strategies for achieving success in their future careers in education. The authors of the article also discussed the role of teachers, peers and experiential learning in the development of professional competencies in students.
