Some issues of the legal status of citizens rendering public assistance to operational units of the internal affairs bodies

The article considers the current issues of legal regulation of public assistance of citizens in the fight against criminal activities. The need to study these issues is based on the importance of solving the problems of combating crime at the present stage. The author carried out a comprehensive analysis of the existing regulatory legal acts governing the public assistance of citizens to the bodies engaged in operational-search activities. The study identified a number of legal gaps that remain without the proper attention of the legislator.
