Some issues of monitoring as a way of public legal control over law enforcement activities of the police

The article inquires into the mechanism of legal monitoring and its main areas (social legal monitoring, monitoring of living standards and legislation). The author notes the relevance of the legal monitoring development with a purpose to update the jural state institutions and the civil society institutions, improve the quality and social validity of state administration, public participation in the regulatory activities. The paper also discusses the lack of the federal law establishing the basis for organization and conducting of the legal monitoring.
