The data of the research of the normative legal regulation of the development and implementation of measures for the professional rehabilitation of disabled persons, including measures for vocational education, topical issues of interdepartmental interaction between the institution of medical and social expertise (ITU) and the Executive authorities in the field of education and employment of the population of St. Petersburg, provided due to changes in legislation in the field of social protection of disabled persons in the Russian Federation in connection with the ratification of the Convention on the rights of disabled persons. The article presents information about the needs of disabled people in St. Petersburg in vocational rehabilitation measures, as well as an assessment of the implementation and effectiveness of these rehabilitation measures according to the individual program of rehabilitation and habilitation of the disabled person (IPRA). The article analyzes the organizational and legal problems of interdepartmental interaction between institutions and organizations engaged in the system of vocational rehabilitation of disabled people at the present stage.
