The subject of the article is the problem of the influence of N.A. Nekrasov’s symbolism, archetypes and mythology on the Caucasian poetry of the 19th-20th centuries. It is noted that Nekrasov’s archetype of the mother, as well as the symbolism of darkness, the raven, and the road found a response in the Caucasian literature. Some aspects of the intertextual links of Nekrasov’s texts with those written in the Caucasus are identified. Particular attention is paid to the way the poets from the Caucasus assimilated Nekrasov’s creative methodology in the depiction of both social and existential problems.
