The purpose of this article is to study the problem of nonlinear oscillations of circular cylindrical shells, including temperature effects. The objectives of the article are: to study the geometric nonlinear problems of closed cylindrical shells; to study the natural oscillations of circular cylindrical shells resting on an elastic base; to study the theoretical aspects of the occurrence of temperature stresses in cylindrical shells. The hypothesis that the elastic characteristics of layers of cylindrical shells made of various inhomogeneous isotropic materials are continuous functions of the shell thickness coordinate is considered. The study concluded that aerodynamic heating causes the formation of uneven temperature fields in structures. This fact is connected with the appearance of stresses in cylindrical shells.
