This article clarifies the essence of the concept of "non-material incentives for personnel", and also establishes its place in the system of related categories and concepts of labor Economics. The main elements of non-material incentives for personnel, goals and objectives that act as competitive advantages at the current stage of the knowledge economy formation are determined. The requirements for the organization of the system of non-material incentives for personnel are justified, based on which the issues of training and retraining of personnel within the organization become important.
