The article deals with import substitution as a long process that combines science, production and public support measures in the interaction of all participants. To date, the share of imports in the oil and gas industry in many areas is very high: Ahead of the introduction of the import substitution program worked such major companies as PJSC «Gazprom» and PJSC «NC» Rosneft», PJSC «Tatnef».
