The need to intensify and improve the efficiency indicators of dairy cattle production

One of the main basic branches in agricultural production is animal husbandry. This industry is of fundamental importance for the development of the economic potential and social policy of the region. More than half of the consumer basket is formed by products of animal origin. Animal husbandry has significant reserves for increasing the supply of products to the domestic market and expanding export potential. The market of whole-milk products in the Russian Federation, according to experts, is currently the most stable compared to other food markets: grain, sugar and meat. This is due to the fact that milk and dairy products make up a permanent part of the products of the consumer basket. Dairy cattle breeding in Russia is the most important branch of animal husbandry. It largely determines the economic efficiency in agricultural production. In most areas of the Volga region, dairy cattle breeding traditionally occupies the leading direction in animal husbandry. The Saratov Region is a major region of the Russian Federation for the production of agricultural products. This entity annually increases the pace of supply of whole-milk products for processing enterprises, ensuring not only saturation of the market with vital food products, but also ensuring the process of production efficiency, which is essential in a multi-layered economy.
