The article considers the empirical proofs of complexity and discrepancy of relationship between the artist students and their social surroundings, which are caused by uncertain criteria of their activity’s successfulness, as well as the contradiction between the need to keep a creative individuality and the dependence of the recognition of their creative achievements from the society’s values.
