The inevitability of criminal liability of legal entities for environmental crimes

The article discusses the expediency of establishing criminal liability of legal entities for carrying out activities that cause harm to the environment. Methodology: formal-legal and comparative-legal methods were used. The potential of civil and administrative law is insufficient to neutralize the adverse impact of corporate formations of various sectors of the economy on the environment and does not compensate for the damage caused to its components and individual natural complexes. The author formulates key proposals that should be taken into account when developing draft laws on the criminal liability of legal entities for environmental crimes.
