Article is devoted to the analysis of the new book of professor V.I. Antonov «The dream buried in nuclear ashes». The book represents the collection of stories about the Japanese children who have become the victims of atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki where the author acts as the artist-short-story writer. Emergence of this book is quite natural for her author who is the expert on the Japanese culture. V.I. Antonov relies on reader's ideas of such phenomenon of the Japanese culture as origami, a karaoke, an ikebana, a hokku, sushi, etc. The book is considered in the context of scientific and publicistic creativity of the author as his successful debut in art prose. The features of an author's plan put in motive of a tragic presentiment, in system of the images and symbols answering to a form of the requiem for Hiroshima children come to light
