All 46 excluded students belonged to the spiritual estate. Archive case information about expulsion of students are summarized in the table for visualization. Analysis of the data shows, that at the time of expulsion the age of students ranged from 13 to 23 years, and their training time fluctuated from 4 to 11 years. The most common reasons for the expulsion from Academy were poor attendance, long absences without a valid reason, poor behavior and illness. Most of the expelled students (42 out of 46) were placed at the disposal of the Moscow diocese, in charge of which they were before entering the Academy; the fate of three more students had to dispose of the Moscow Synodal office. Students expelled from the Academy for laziness, learning disabilities, or bad behavior, lost hope of receiving the priesthood, although they continued to be registered in the spiritual estate. Therefore, some of them sought to get a position in the Synodal printing. The article publishes the petitions of two expelled students for assistance in their employment.
