The acquisition of property rights due to acquisitive prescription is one of the most controversial ways today. This is due, first of all, to the low prev a lence of this method of a c quiring property rights among citizens, as well as to the insignificant judicial practice. In connection with this in science, many questions arises about the legal character istins of the conditions of acquisitive prescription. In the article, the author considers «continuity of ow n ership» as one of the conditions of acquisitive prescription. The article analyzes the opinions of scientists about the co n tent of the concept of «continuous ownership».
