Illegal drug manufacture carried out by organized criminal groups: stage of preparation

Based on an analysis of the forensic practice, the article examines the stage of preparation for the manufacturing narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. It is noted that its components are: a) «recruiting» members of an organized criminal group; b) searching for both typical locations for laboratories (garages, sheds, cabins, construction wagons, apartments, basements, and atypical ones (cars, tourist tents, boats); c) selecting and purchasing the necessary laboratory equipment (Würz flasks, Bunsen flasks, heating elements, Buchner funnels, distillers, etc.); d) purchasing precursors; e) passing the «certification» procedure on the HYDRA Internet site.
