Is ignorance of the law no excuse?!

Introduction: the author analyses selected issues of the principle "ignorance of the law is no excuse" through the necessity to strengthen the work on legal education of citizens including legislative change. Materials and Methods: the author used comparative legal, logical and legal methods of academic research. Results: the author considered the effect of the principle "ignorance of the law is no excuse" in the context of law enforcement bodies, courts and citizens. Discussion and Conclusions: the author concludes that various activities, firstly legal education of citizens, ensure the principle "ignorance of the law is no excuse".
