The frontier of the Lower Volga region as a territory of intensive cultural interactions

The article is devoted to the study of cultural contacts in the Lower Volga region within the frontier theory. The author showed the process of formation of the Lower Volga territory as a multicultural and polyethnic zone. In addition to this, the author singled out the ways of interaction of the peoples which characterize of the Lower Volga frontier.
