In the preface of Berkhstengadensky benevolent society to Ernst Hanish's book it is noted that Oberzaltsberg was not the mountain idyll discharged of world cataclysms. Here lived, made plans and gave an impetus to their realization the political leader whose ideology led to the most large-scale and ruthless war of the XX century. The problem of interpretation of the image of a historical figure, documentary primary sources in literary works (on material of E.Hanish's book) demands addition and systematization. Oberzaltsberg, mythologically consecrated in legends and songs about the great emperor designed to save the German people from the forces of evil, was used by Hitler for personal glorification and mythologization. It is not surprising that in the consciousness of thousands of national socialists Oberzaltsberg became the sacred mountain on which one of the Fuhrer's residences was located.
