The market for functional food is gaining momentum, but security issues are not left behind. There was a need for legislative justification of specialized products, each ingredient must go through a whole procedure to get into the list of functional foods. Regulatory and functional food regulations in the United States help to comply with the latest regulatory requirements designed to ensure the safe production of these valuable classes of foods. Food and nutrition play a crucial role in improving human performance and, in general, for human health. The scope, importance and potential for further growth in the food and functional food industry is enormous. Research and demand for these products are increasing, as are regulatory barriers and complex aspects of production procedures. The main health requirements in the regulatory system are related to fatigue, eyes, memory, stress, sleep, joints, blood flow, body temperature, muscles and body mass index.
