Regulations regarding turnover technical search items resources as a preventive measure for crimes related to illegal activities in the field of archeology

The current issues of crime prevention related to the illegal search and (or) seizure of archaeological objects from their sites are reviewed in the article. The prevention this kind of crimes as one of the most effective methods of combating illegal activities in the field of archeology, accompanied by the destruction or da-mage of the cultural layer of the earth containing archeology items is reviewed in article. As one of the directions for the crime prevention is the possibility of legislatively restricting the circulation of technical means of searc-hing for objects (hidden in the ground, under water or in another environment), as the main weapon used in the illegal search and removal of archeological objects from places of their occurrence. It is proposed to adopt a normative act restricting their circulation on the territory of the Russian Federation or its individual entities in order to limit the access of criminals to technical means of searching for archaeological objects. The general provisions and contents of this document are presented. The author's conclusions are based on the study of criminal cases, as well as materials on checks of reports related to illegal activities in the field of archeology in the Crimea and Krasnodar Territory.
