Normativity and repressiveness: worldview reflection in the history of cultural thought of the XVIII – beginning of the XX century

Since the ancient times the thinkers and philosophers have guided the human life and society with the help of culture. This guidance was determined by the established cultural norms, which were considered mandatory for all, and those aspects that were beyond them, were subjected to repression. The article deals with the problem of reflection of the categories «normativity» and «repressiveness » in the history of cultural thought.
