The paper examines the main principles of the new immigration policy of Boris Johnson's Government, as well as the impact of the measures taken on the regulation of the United Kingdom labor market. The aim of the study is to provide a comprehensive description of the updated United Kingdom immigration policy that came into force after the UK's disaffiliation with the European Union and to analyze its impact on the labor market. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that this is the first time that recent developments in British immigration law have been described among domestic writings. Particular attention is paid to the political-legal and socio-economic situation of skilled and low-skilled immigrant laborers. In fact, it is the changing status of these categories of immigrant laborers that is influencing the formation of the UK labor market. As a result, the British government plans to intensively recruit skilled and low-skilled labor not only from EU member states, but also from third countries on equal terms.
